Weddings: all the fine print

Basic Details

All weddings include roughly four hours of coverage. If extra time is needed, it can be purchased at a rate of $75 per hour. In order to accommodate you, time requirements must be discussed before the event. Coverage time will begin once we begin taking photographs. Wedding coverage includes pre-ceremony preparations, the ceremony itself, group portraits and the reception. An average wedding will result in 175- 250 photographs.

So that the reception is started as soon as possible, we prefer to photograph the bridal party and groom’s party before the ceremony. Don’t worry- we make sure the groom doesn’t get a sneak peek! It is also helpful if a friend that knows the family and the members of the wedding party can be available to help round up relatives and members of the wedding party.

Deposits, Mileage, etc.

To book your wedding, a deposit of $100 is required. The deposit will go towards the package price of your wedding but is non-refundable.

All weddings must be paid in full at least two weeks before the day of the event. For events outside of the Oklahoma City metro area, there is a mileage fee of $.30 per mile, rounded to the nearest mile.

About the photographs

All photographs can be printed in color or black and white or with color accents. We can also add on to a package or substitute prints for an item of the same price. Unless a CD and copyright release is purchased, JP Photographic retains all copyright permissions. If a copyright release is purchased (included with CD), the photographs may be reproduced only for personal use. Basically, you can make prints for yourself, your parents and your friends but you cannot use the photographs for commercial purposes, such as advertising or reselling prints.

During the ceremony

Photographs taken during the ceremony will be done with respect towards the ceremony itself and towards the church, audience and wedding party. If the church or wedding hall does not permit flash photography, I will not take flash photos during the ceremony but will work with you to recreate key parts if necessary.

After the ceremony

In order to get the reception started, photographs will begin immediately following the ceremony. It is requested that the majority of guests exit and only those having their photograph taken remain. If your guests would like to take photographs, they may do so as long as they do not block any equipment of JP Photographic and do not distract from the photographs being taken. It is my priority to ensure that you have excellent photographs of your wedding and I will accomodate wedding guests as long as I am able to accomplish the job you have already paid for.
